Writers Guidelines

Homeland Defense Journal does not accept by-lined articles unless they are independent of a product and/or company. Outside experts speaking on a subject of interest to our readers is possible.


All by-lined articles must meet the following criteria:
° Written as information about a topic of direct interest to our readers
° Directed toward managers and decision-makers
° The writer is an acknowledged expert
° Outside (noncompany) experts are quoted
° The article is not a veiled ad or promo for the company, a product or a proprietary technology
° Article length is 500-1,000 words
° We are granted permission to edit and adjust for available space
° A short bio and picture of the writer is provided
° The article is exclusive to Homeland Defense Journal
° We encourage any photos or graphics that support/amplify the article
° We have permission to make the article available through our Web site and/or weekly newsletter
